Account and Data Deletion
You can request account deletion in the app or contact us through the privacy email for account and data deletion requests.
After deletion, account data is handled under the Privacy Policy. Apple subscriptions must be managed separately in the App Store.
How to Delete Your Account
- Open Companion Reader and sign in.
- Go to Settings or Account and choose Account Deletion or Delete Account.
- Read the deletion notice and confirm what will be deleted or retained.
- Submit the deletion request and complete verification as prompted.
- If the in-app entry is temporarily unavailable, email privacy@palmot.com.cn with your registered email or phone number.
What Data Is Processed After Deletion
- Account profile, login credentials and membership status.
- Uploaded book records, covers, reading progress and reading settings.
- Highlights, quotes, notes, thoughts, AI chats and export records.
- User-configured API Keys and AI settings.
- Data required by law or needed for dispute handling may be retained for the necessary period.
About Apple Subscriptions
Deleting your Companion Reader account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store subscription. If you subscribed through Apple IAP, manage or cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings on iPhone.
